Tree Removal in Inverness, FL
A dead pine over the house or a big oak crowding the roof is not a weekend DIY job. Call and we'll connect you with a local tree removal pro who works in Inverness and Citrus County. They look at the tree, give you a price, and do the job if you say yes.

When a tree should come down
- It is dead or mostly dead. Pines killed by beetles or lightning dry out fast and can drop limbs without warning.
- It leans toward the house, driveway or power line and the lean is new or getting worse.
- There are mushrooms at the base, cracks in the trunk, or big hollow sections.
- Roots are lifting slabs, septic lines or the pool deck.
- It is simply in the way of an addition, a fence, a shed or a driveway.
How a tree removal job usually goes
- Free look and quote. Most crews come out, measure up the tree and what is around it, and give you a written price.
- The plan. Open yards may allow a straight fell. Trees near homes, screen rooms and lines are usually climbed or taken down with a bucket truck or crane, piece by piece.
- Cleanup. Ask what is included: hauling the wood, chipping the brush, raking, and whether the stump is ground or left.
What affects the price
Height, trunk size, how close it is to buildings or lines, whether a crane or bucket truck is needed, and how much debris has to be hauled off all move the price. A small, open-yard tree is a very different job from a tall laurel oak over a pool cage. See our tree removal cost guide for rough, clearly labeled estimate ranges.
Permits and rules
Florida law limits when local governments can require a permit to remove a tree on residential property if it is documented as a danger by a certified arborist or licensed landscape architect. Rules can still apply for other trees, in some subdivisions, and on commercial land. Ask the pro, and check with Citrus County or the City of Inverness if you live inside city limits. More in our permit article.
Protect yourself
Ask for proof of general liability and workers' compensation insurance, a written quote, and what happens if something gets damaged. Never let anyone start cutting without a price you agreed to.

Questions people ask
Is it free to call?
Yes. You never pay us anything. You only pay the tree pro for work you agree to.
Can I remove a tree myself?
Small trees in open ground, maybe. Anything tall, leaning, dead or near a house, fence or power line is dangerous. Leave those to an insured pro.
Will they haul the wood away?
Most crews can, but some price it separately. Ask whether hauling, chipping and stump grinding are included in the quote.
